The former MDC-Roundhouse tooling 26' Ore Car tooling is returning in the Athearn line.
The 26' Ore Car with Tapered High Side and Tapered Low Side models will be available.
6-packs for $99.98 and single Ore Cars for $16.98
Delivery is announced for August '07.
I don't know my Ore Cars very well, so somebody correct me if I'm wrong here...but I believe this is the ribbed-side car that perhaps was cloned by Bachmann and is currently a member of their Silver Series.
Here's the Bachmann Silver Series exmaple in Union Pacific...

uh... Aren't those trucks a bit on the over-kill side? Z
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Ore Is Very Heavy, And 100 Ton Trucks Are What I Have Seen Used. Ore Ways A Lot More Than Coal. Thats Why 6 Engines Pull A 100 Car Train, Not 2
