Scored this new in box -un-assembled - all pieces in the kit - This was a steal at 6.00 plus shipping of around 3.00 - Most of these go for way more assembled

It just goes to show that sometimes you can find really good stuff for dirt cheap or really bad stuff for a ton of money. Yours is on the first one, the good one.

Thanks gmoney and kovacste000 - been a while since i got an item without bidding war - on t his -i couldn't believe it as most go for $20 and higher - very happy to get this on the low

Nelson, Ben's just a bad influence! Tyco's operating hoppers are one of my addictions and the C&O is one of only two I don't have, and have never even seen in person. That "Ben-ism" just seemed to express my thoughts perfectly! A really nice find, Brian!

| Glen - Thanks - couldnt believe i was only bidder on this - there was another seller who had over 10 of these listed at same time -some had issues such as missing steps bad paint fade and other defects

| How do these operate? I have 2 hopper cars (don't know the make) that have operating doors in the bottom, they have to be driven over special tracks that force the doors open.

Retired Alex - Yes these operate via a special track section that comes with the unloading hopper car set by Tyco or early Mantua/Tyco version
