A couple of cars I got at the train show Saturday - an Athearn(?) Pearly Brewery 50' box and a Varney L&N 40' box. Still need some cleanup and the Pearl needs stirrups, but great buys.

I want one!
The former Tivoli Brewing place is now part of Tivoli Student Union
I remember when it was a mall!
I even has a bottle opener with Tivoli on it!

My COTW is an old Varney caboose from the 50s and 60s. I don't know why I like it. It probably has something to do with the fact that it has strange couplings that I haven't seen before nor after I got it. Works just fine with modern Kadees although it's a little bit awkward.

Like it too. Very old, someone else must have liked it to because it still exists.

I got a Domino's when I was 10, I believe it was AHM. When I was I moved out of my folk's place I got rid of it. Spent the next 40 or so years trying to find one again. Saw an AHM one at a train show back in the early 90's for $40 w/o box. Passed on it. Found this one on Ebay for about $10, it is Model Power, and the letter is paler and the brake wheel is cast on, and I don't recollect the "Franklin" logo of the AHM version. Still, this is very satisfying, even though I had to wait another 14 years to save $30.

Cool Domino car. Plus I have never seen one - or noticed it - with the "Franklin" name added.

Hello all, This is my COTW. It started as a basic Varney caboose. I was drawn to it because the paint scheme is a bit rare--I had never seen one live before--it is SP, but in a fantasy blue color. I sprayed it with a matte sealer, added window glazing, end ladders, and Kadee couplers. It has the original sprung trucks. I really like the results.

Hi Ken, Yes, I'm still kicking, busier than ever. Had some problems trying to post on this site for a while, but it's all working at the moment. Hopefully I can post some of my recent projects--stay tuned. Chris
