any ideas why on tonys site certain items details are printed in red,whilst most are black,ken

The reason why he did that was to make the title separate from the info about the engine. And/or it looks nicer than just doing black for all of it. So the true question is why not? If you're really curious, ask Tony Cook about it.

Certain road names are highlighted in red, not just the titles. I think that's probably how Tony Cook found it in the catalog. The question remains: what's special about those road names?

I didn't see that cause they were so tiny. Anyway, my best guess on that is that those road names are the rarer liveries.

Hi Ken,
Looks like a Mantua catalog.
Usually when new roadnames are introduced, the manufacturer will attempt to set them apart from the rest of the inventory. My hunch is the red inked roadnames were new for that particular catalog year.

| theoldreliable is correct. The items in red were first introduced in the 1980 catalog. The items in black can be found in the 1979 catalog.
