Buddy sent me this pic. A semi hauling a large concrete beam got stuck on the tracks trying to make a sharp turn....

I bet trucker loses his job over this

Theres a crossing someplace that has a reputaion for getting trucks stuck on the crossing
I think its in SC? idk
The trailer gets high centered on the tracks & truck gets stuck fast

A similar thing happened, I think in central Illinois. A friend of a friend of mine was engineer on a train that hit a house. The house was being moved and got high centered on a crossing. At the end of his run, the engineer called home. His wife answered with, "what did you hit this time?"

Had a very nice man who was a nieghbor up the street when I was a kid. He was an engineer for NS railroad. Years later he told me that he had killed 7 people in his career from hitting cars at crossings.

I love passing peoples homes on the freeway... Seen a home with a flat tire a while back! I think people should put nice chrome wheels on their homes and keep them polished... Another nice addition would be "air ride" so the home can be raised and lowered, or make it jump around !!
