Hello everyone! Post your COTW here! Mine happens to be an old Triang mail coach that needs some wheel replacement which I will post in another thread.

Keeping to the theme I started with my LOTW, here is a caboose I cobbled from a pile of parts to see if I could.

| That caboose is fine Jerry, as well as the scenery and photography. The deer look quite natural the way they're placed.

Hey Jerry, nice transfer hack. Would you do a little write-up someplace on how you did it please? I was trying to figure out what body shell you had used. It appears that you cut the roof overhangs off maybe?

Thanks Randy - I'll do that and stick it under the kitbash forum. Was literally a result of stuff I had on hand. A real enjoyable project though, because the railroads in many cases built them the same way, so it's hard to go wrong.

Love the new home! It's a nice old piece, and am delighted for the three Amtrak cars. The PC box was a very kind gesture- thank you!
Promise to run the heck out of all of them. I love the Tyco, but am afraid to run locomotives for more than a few minutes at a time- even that is enough to crack the little drive gear, but for the Amtrak, I have a fairly sturdy E60CP by Bachmann to haul the consist.
Also have a sweet, old, emphasis on OLD, Tyco Amtrak GG1, but fear exercising her too much!!

You can also find the rare version of the (T311-H) Great Northern red box car with the black roof in the same type box.

You ever loose your sentimentalism over that set, let me know...I'm still kicking myself for letting the one I had go for next to nothing.

Andy I can't identify the particular type by name, but I have seen them before on early steam era cars like this.

Well, they were used on freight cars in revenue service from the 1870's to the 1890's at the latest. The diamond design wasn't very strong (tended to collapse inward on an overloaded car) so they didn't last as long as other archbars.
