Hi there everyone,
I am very happy that I discovered this site tonight. I have been into model railroading since I was a kid in the 70s. You may have already guessed but my first train was the Tyco Chattanooga Choo Choo. After running the train on the floor for a couple of weeks my dad got a 4 x 8 sheet of particle board and the first layout was quickly under construction.
As the years past by I, like many others, discovered the opposite sex and lost interest in model railroading but always had fond memories of my Chattanooga Choo Choo.
About 10 years ago I once again started to get the itch to return to the hobby. With limited space to set up a layout I chose to model N-Scale. I am not disappointed with this direction but once again I needed to scratch the itch I had to get another Chattanooga locomotive. It didn't take me to long to find one, heck it didn't take me to long to find a fleet of them. Along with those came additional purchases of other Tyco locomotives, rolling stock, and the wonderful animated accessories. Boy those box crates could sure fly out of that box car. lol
I'm looking forward to sharing and learning here.

My first HO set was also the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Welcome to the forum, Rob!

I asked for the Chattanooga Choo Choo for Christmas, but I got the Comin 'Round the Mountain instead. I loved it and still have it. Both were cool and colorful.
I still remember that Chattanooga Choo Choo commercial!

I have a Tyco Chattanooga 2-8-0 too! It looks sweet. Needs a bit of oil though.

Looking forward to seeing photo's of your Chatanooga Choo Choo. If you haven't seen the video, posted, I believe, under "Loose Ends," check it out. Old Tyco TV advertisement showing the CCC, mostly on the rails. Never would have believed it if not seen.
