That's a sharp-looking model. I saw its prototype a few years ago and I'd say the model is a pretty close representation.

My LOTW is a Mantua Prairie with a few modifications. Instead of a rubber traction tire, it has a die-cast boiler for weight and adhesion. It's modified to pick up power on all drivers and the tender has been modified to pick up power from both rails. In all, there are 10 wheels picking up power. A working headlight has been added as well as a few other cosmetic changes visible in the photos:

Awesome thing is, I live in the same part of the country as the real Daylight so that makes this model even cooler.

What a beautiful locomotive. I think I already said that in another thread where you posted this thing.

My LOTW is the Mopac Mighty Mouse geep. There was a prototype for this one when an employee of the railroad slapped a Mighty Mouse decal on the long hood.

My LOTW is again from my acquired collection of Bud Borland's stuff. It is a IHC 2-10-2. I have wanted one of these for awhile.

I love the livery. I really need to get one of these Tyco Mantua engines in a box and there are a ton of them at train shows.

These P2K E units are HEAVY and very strong. I dig the scheme too - I have become a fan of the Santa Fe warbonnet lately but this L&N scheme will always be #1 in my book.

These pictures are of my baby. She began life as a Model Die Casting (Roundhouse) 0-6-0 and has been modified to a 2-6-2 Prairie. A can motor was added along with a scratch built brass snowplow, all weather cab, running boards and detail parts. The tender was modified, new wheels added and Kadee couplers. This engine is definitely slated for DCC and sound.

The other side. She has been in storage for 18+ years and needs a little touch up here and there to remove some blemishes.

That looks so good! I was actually shocked when you said it had been in storage for around 18 years because it looks like a modern DCC fitted locomotive.

So much about the base looks Mantua yet you state it's a roundhouse base. If correct that is even more impressive then it already is.

That Prairie is beautiful! You did an amazing job shaping the plow, and it's interesting to see an all-weather cab on such a small lokey. She's definitely polar vortex-proofed.
