To All,
I would like to see all the members here, update their personal information with a first name or nickname. then we could be a little more personal by using that as a handle. You could then click on a username and see his/her personal name for posts and PMs.
It would be good to know where you live and what you do, but a personal name would be very nice. I feel a little awkward addressing someone as Ytrgvx604A. If you prefer you username, then ignore this request.

Not sure if you will get many taker on this John,
There are many out here that are very dis-trusting of their fellow man and some for very good reason. I personally prefer my first name in my signature at the bottom of each post. I agree it does make for a more pleasant experience having at least a first mane.

I'm not afraid to tell you my name is Harrison.
I use this same name to fight on forums about the Catskill Mountain Railroad, which I volunteer for. In fact, if someone could give a hint on how to change logos, I'd like to change mine to that of the CMRR.
Model trains are for fun, but railroading is serious business and business calls for at least a first-name basis.
