This is yet another forum about my Tyco trolley and this time it has something to something on it's case. Take a look.

I found out that between 1967 and 1968, they were priced at around $8.00 and between 1969 to 1972, these thing were priced at around $9.00. The price tag on the case says $8.30. Does that mean my trolley is over 40 years old? By the way, I got that information from here. http://www.hoseeker.net/tyco.htm

8.30 is discounted $9.00 MSRP. The Midge is someone's nickname for the trolley.

So that probably means my trolley is from the early 1972 according to Tony Cook's page which means the trolley is from the brown box era. That explains a mark that looks like there was another price tag on the case. It was another price tag. The original seller just removed it when they discounted it.

Or it was old stock marked up to the new retail and discounted so it would look like a deal.

There's that too. Although the price tag does look pretty old.

I found out a "midge" is a small fly that breeds on the blood of animals. So basically a midge is a pest. That's probably what the original owner thought of my trolley. He/she thought of it as a pest. I certainly don't think of it as a pest.

Well, mine runs slowly one way but it runs beautifully the other way. Kinda odd.
