Seems like there's still a fair amount of old cars hangin' out in fields. Not too far from my place, there's an old Rock Island caboose that's been sitting in this lot for as long as I can remember (30 years anyway). Sometimes I fantasize about getting it up to my place. I'm afraid whoever owns it, is going to let it rot in place.

I've seen the bridge done more often with flat cars. Here's Willow Spring Wash Rd. crossing Muddy River in rural Emery County, Utah:

It was an old Trailer Train piggyback flatcar designed for circus wagon style loading.

You can see how the river got its name.

I like the passenger car, though. It's reminiscent of a covered bridge.

I've seen flats used as bridges on driveways where there's a HUGE ditch between the road and the house.

I ,too, was reminded of the old covered bridges when I saw the passenger car.

What "Georgia" is that, Ken? The former Soviet Socialist Republic?

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"
