Has anyone on here mentioned a Hospital car recently? Is there such a car and what company made it.

| Tyco's Civil War train sets had an old-time combine done up as a hospital car. Could this be what you're thinking of?

Here is one (photo credit Chops124):

I think it's Mantua.

Folks, I'm not sure his first question has been addressed.
The second "of such" and "what company made it" seems to be answered.
I would add that there are 2 sets of AHM/RivaRossi Hospital cars that I see on eBay.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

| The old-time car pictured was sold as both Mantua and Tyco.

I posted this thread because someone PM'ed me asking about the Hospital car that I have. BUT, I don't have one, never did... I never knew there was such until last night... Surprised by the PM and figured he had contacted the wrong member. Today though, I got a 2nd PM on the car...

I really like that ConCor set. It fetches a high price these days.
Here are some prototype photos of WWII hospital cars:

Just to round out the list of hospital cars, here is a kit that Walthers offered until about 1976:

| Those prototype photos are great Thomas. I can see why that Walthers car could have a cult following.

Came across a couple more photos of hospital cars. The German set looks pretty interesting.
