I have posted this loco before, but since it just came back from the dead I thought it deserved another go-around, this time with its new partner. #5050 is also the first HO I ever had, from back in Christmas of 1968(?). It is now powered again, thanks to the drivetrain of #5056, now an unpowered dummy. Really cool watching this piece of history pulling a train again

Nice C-liner's. It it too bad that they never reworked that damn pilot.
My LOTW is an athearn SD40-2 that is being reworked into an ex-U.P. GATX leaser. As an avid Union Pacific hater, I jump at every opportunity to have ex U.P. units on my railroad

My Loco (s) of the week are both versions of the Alco C-430 for Illinois Central, and after they bought GM&O they became Illinois Central Gulf. The only two Alco's I have left to get are the Great Northern and the Queensland Rail from Australia.

Ben I want your Rock SD40-2........GIVE TO MEH!!!
Mine newest addition is a Tyco Royal BLue 2-8-0 from Gmoney with matching caboose Has take quite a bit of work to get it up to my standards in terms of operation. But after many changes and additions to the tender drive she runs pretty good and smokes too! (From the smokestack not the Powertorque....... )

Thank you sir!
Wanted one for a long time but it was more an engine that I would buy if right in front of me and for a good price.
I had the money from a deal that never came to fruition and Gmoney mesaged me saying he still had his. Easy deal and I couldn't be happier!

John, read this carefully: I am going to PM you an address. Once you receive it, you will carefully pack each of the locomotives pictured here and send to that address - and then you will forget this ever happened.
WOW... other than that...don't know aht to say. It's an incredible collection. And those F3s are to me the crown jewels...awesome. Love that old-style GM logo as well. Definitely was worth waiting for, thanks for posting them

Eventually, I will add the Baldwin Centipedes... UP's 998 & 999 cancellations... albeit the cream coloured demonstrators. I'm making payments on them... dcc sound and control.

My head is getting inflattued, er, inflated... Thanks.
The PA Demo's, Hyde... the orange ones, right?
The gold/black/green Canadian National painted ones are marked MLW/GE as opposed to the ALCO's... the "Big Bertha's", 9077+9078 were actually built in the US, GE/ALCO tried to catch some Canadian sales for these six-axle locomotives. Sad thing, though... while they were equipped with dynamic brakes, neither of them rode rails anywhere east of Ontario. CP, CN, and eventually VIA Rail stuck with FA's for both passenger and freight.
Someone wanna do some imaginative artwork for PA's in Canadian Pacific's and Canadian National's paint schemes? Could you imagine VIA PA's? Sargent stripe CN's?
As an aside, Detroit Edison painted most of their locomotives in GM's demo white and blues, including their GE U30C's. Whence, I also included the SD40 #002.

I don't know how you do it Sean, but you've done it again ! A George Stock GG1, in its original box. I thought they were almost all gone. And the box looks in great shape. The label hasn't fallen off. It is had enough to find a Walters Doodlebug. The GG1 is definitely a locomotive that need a good paint job, and a return to operation. Have you got pantograph's that can fit it? If you need some post the measurements of the mounting hole center to centers. left to right and front to back. It seams like every GG1 has different measurements. Great find Sean ! frank

Now that I have picked my jaw up off the floor John, tell me more about those F3s. They are Athearns? I never knew Athearn even did an F3, much less B units as well. And they look to have cab interiors too?

The F3's are of the Athearn Genesis line.(Unpainted cab interiors.) An A and B set did also have sound. Some time back, I removed the sound from the B unit. Only one unit has sound... why have an A+B+B without sound? There's a true story, prototypically. #291A1 (the A-unit) with 291B1, while in use on the Texas & Pacific Railroad, rear-ended a 2-10-0 and was heavily damaged. (Goes to show steam wasn't going down without a fight.) EMD decided not to rebuild it but produced a second set of F3's, this time an A+B+A set 754A1 754B1 754A2 in the newer blue and silver image, close to the designs of the BL2 and GP7 demonstrators.
Just to let y'all know, it's taken me at least a few years to accumulate the demonstrators. Due to up-coming events in my life, I've given up on acquiring more demonstrators after the Centipedes are in my possession. I have wanted the RS11, RS27, BL2, GP20, All the E-units (especially brass offerings,) the C636's, C430's, (I traded my MP15AC for another pair of locomotives, but I'd like to buy one again,) ... on and on. Mind you, nothing newer built than 1976-1979. In other words, if it was built and tested before 1980, I wanted it. Plus, I have wanted to get dynamometer cars from EMD, GE, ALCO... the list goes on as well.
I also aimed my wallet at demonstrator freightcars, no matter what they were advertising, ACF, Pullman, or even the parts like roller bearing trucks. You may notice behind the U30B the roofs of Timkens-red and blue tops of boxcars, Evans Freightcar Company (Athearn and Atlas versions), I've also a few different Evergreen Freight Car Corporation cars 40' and 50' versions... again On and On!
More later, if requested.
John
