My AOTW is a kitbash I guess you might say to come up with a decent car hauler for zero $$.
I had an el cheapo car hauler molded in blue plastic with a tractor that was a little too small scale. I ditched the tractor and painted the trailer flat black, then added a more to-scale tractor from an old Campbell's Soup tractor-trailer set. The Ford trucks are those molded solid rubber ones.

I was in one of the LHS's today and happened to notice a few kits based off of old sci-fi TV shows and movies from the 60's. They were cheap so I bought three: two "Spindrifts" and one "Flying Submarine".

Here's the first Spindrift partially assembled/painted. This one will be black with neon striping, the other will be a solid colour like the ship on the box...

First thing that came to mind when I saw the Spindrift?

I've built and painted this one and it's a pretty nice looking kit. It's stored in a different box so I never got a pic of the bridge. I get a couple of quick photos each time I make it home.(when I remember)

Update pics of my AotW. There were some issues with the paint sticking to the plastic hull. Masking tape would have peeled the paint off so I had to skip the striping. It ended up being decaled and clear-coated.

If I had to guess, it's probably closer to 1:100. It's really hard to tell though...kind of one of those things that's so obscure no one would ever notice if it was a little out of scale. A crash site could make a great layout scene!

Looks great! Very futuristic, but sort of retro at the same time.

Those little rockets are pretty slick Eric. Modeling the future could be fun . . . maybe like making some predictions about things to come? I'm thinking how they could maybe be suspended over a layout. I've seen those levitating things (?magnets?). I was thinking it could be fun to have an HO scale biplane hanging over a layout with a tiny black thread.

Who is to say humans are the same size as the aliens? It would be appropriate at any size or scale!! Who knows, our universe might exist under the fingernail of some strange giant creature??!
