Just searching for info on operating hopper cars and somehow found the forum here. Great place!
I am a Tyco user going back to the 70's, partly thanks to Saturday morning cartoons. The ads for the Durango, Silver Streak and Chattanooga Choo-Choo drew me in and HO has been an on again - off again habit ever since. I have eveolved a bit since and really enjoy doing kit builts and I am starting to experiment with laser cut kits.
Really glad to see such a neat place to get together and see the hardware that others have. Most of my stuff is lovingly boxed away (some of it did not survive "play") but as I get my layout set up (again) I'll be happy to share.

Welcome to the forum. You are going to have a lot of fun here! Speaking of TV ads, does anyone out there recall the one for the Bicentennial set where the narrator would sing a little jingle that went "Red, white and blue...red white and blue" ?
