His PC fouled up on him
here is what he Emailed me

Ben,
Yep I'm still alive. sadly, I have some computer issues going on. just 4 days ago I have managed to get into my e-mail. something happened a few weeks ago from what seemed to be a update to my windows Operating System. then it refreshed, and restarted....Upon loading my desktop, and trying to go to the forums, andsign into Yahoo, on both accounts it told me that "cookies" had to be enabled...WELL, I had thought they were, and they still are, but I'm getting the same error message that cookies isn't enabled.

Not sure whats gone down on my computer but Microsoft is helping me figure it out through their tech support e-mails I've been reading and changing things....As my system ,is no longer under tech insurance coverage so they won't go in and do it themselves over the phone and while I watch from the downloaded program they have.....

Once all is good, I'll be around..

IF you will please make a posting on the forums that once I can get this corrected, I'll be back in there!!! As this suck, It was the beginning of the month since I was in last. it won't even allow me to read whats going on as the forums won't "open" for reading.....

Best Regards,
Jon

Yeah, his Yellowstone is still resting here at my house, I was wondering as he hadn't responded to a PM I sent over a month ago. Well, tech glitches happen. Tell him Hi from the Virginia guy...

He hasn't responded to me either. I hope it's his computer that's down and not him.

another responce

Hey Ben,
Yes, I'm still alive. I'm without internet service and phone right now......The bill went up on me to an amount that, I sadly can't afford, after the 5 year contract, so........I'm switching to a whole new service....And with the snow, and well weather right now its been a trial to get the new company in here to get it all hooked up!

Currently I'm at the local Library trying to see what important E-mail i have and what needs to be simply deleted....So, if you will let everyone on the forums know, I'll be back, just will be a bit as the servive provider thats going to restore my service is all caught up with the weather and crap due to snow fall and outages.....

Good to hear your all around and wondering if I'm still "kickin" you know?

Best Regards,
EM-1 aka John Patton

Well hopefully he'll get Net again
BUT least we know he ok

Thanks for the update. I'm about to switch providers myself, because Comcast has been drastically hiking their fees for no reason. A lot of people I know are jumping ship.

Good to hear.... We cut the cable ourselves with the new house, broadcast antenna was only forty bucks and I get 11 channels. Got to see plenty of football and the Olympics as well so it's not likely to ever come back in my house. We have a dish for the net that works out just fine....

I meant the Analog on cable TV
so when you get cable you'll need a cable box instead

Our cable company gave us a box for each analog set when they switched over to digital, it's no big deal. They don't let you keep them though
