A project I have been working on lately...but can't decide the paint scheme...Santa Fe as delievered "Pinstripe" or the later blue/yellow "War Bonnet". And yes, when it's completed, will be put up for sale. Thanks for your input!

Looks great so far! I personally prefer the "warbonnet" scheme, as it really screams "Santa Fe", but also has a nice modern look to it.

Hi SD9_Cadillac,
Great work. I think the pinstripes would be great.
Keep us posted on your progress.

how about a fantasy scheme? Like the SF logo on the sides of SF's trailers?

I liked your "SD9_Cadillac" name, so I thought I'd send you a pic of some Santa Fe SD-9s I did about a year ago done in the pre-1972 stripe scheme. These look so cool lashed up together pulling a humongous train! They're Athearn blue box w/Tyco GP-20 noses. A few "Santa Fe-ish" details were added making them look like Santa Fe would have dressed 'em up had they had SD-9s!

Going to have to look into these SD9 locos I like the look. The blue/yellow paint scheme is a good one but I have to admit I am partial to the red/yellow warbonnet scheme. I'm still simmering the idea in the back of my head to do a SF fantasy loco with the trailer logo scheme Microben, waiting to source a set of decals that aren't printed on gold sheets

How about LAJ?. It's still atsf but looks more unique.

Hey Jerry, I just read this thread. What decals are you thinking you need? I have ATSF that I know I will never use.
