Helping another member with a Mantua Plymouth rivet MU2. Will MU2 rivet wheel sets and axles from the GP/F/430 work with this? I personally never held or seen one in person.

I think those wheel sets would be plastic on one side while the Plymouth should have metal wheels all around.

A while back, Darth Santa Fe posted a method of replacing the wheels with all metal ones:

Yep, the trolleys and switchers had all brass wheels with one side insulated at the axle. Early models had a plastic wheel with a brass tire on the insulated side.

Yep, NKP, brass tires/rings. Will they fit a standard MU2 wheel off a 8 axle diesel?
