Well, that's very grand of you RP, I don't know though, getting them OUT of Canada is going to be a hat trick. The hold is only for 24 hours, so if the clock runs out I'll be sure to let you know.

An Ebay auction I did the low opening bid on and 6 days latter I won for that first opening bid.
Nine HObbyline cars. Must to have been DUMB luck. Now I need some Toledo, Peoria, and Western logos to replace the damaged and missing ones.0 frank

You will like it when you get it I hope.

This one was from a South Hicksville train club. Guess it was too colorful and toylike for their layout. I used a black marker for the trucks.

I went back today and bought both engines. The shark was held in the back for Chops, which I thought was impressive as: a) I didn't know they would hold stuff and, b) even I wasn't 100% positive which Value Village I saw it at, yet Chops found it by phone.
Both engines are in good cosmetic shape. The Alco is missing its pinion gear, but the motor does run. The shark tries to run, but something is binding.
RP, since you and Chops seem to have settled the shark, are you still interested in the Alco?

Here's the beauty queen with her sisters. The engine in the back was restored and given to me by Tony L., the middle is my slightly scuffed original example, and the front is the thrift store engine which is arguably in the best shape of the three.

Returned from the Nicholas Smith Train & Toy Store today with yet another haul, this one 100% Tyco stuff. I've said it before and I'll say it again - this train store is hands down the best in terms of new & especially used model trains, in all scales!
Notable finds include:
Dummy Tyco "Red Box Era" Blue Bonnet F9's - A & B units ($10 each) Holly Sugar covered hopper - $10 Pipe Unloader (manual) - $2 Rio Grande caboose - $6

But Alex is right - no detailing allowed on those SF "Red Box" dummies - they are just too beautiful.

Still waiting on that tender for that streamer to arrive.
Anyways today I made my way to Pearson’s Model Trains in Valdese NC. Which is about 30 minutes from where I live.
The store had a decent amount of Lionel but not a lot of used/old/junk stuff which I love to go through.
I managed to find these two OK Streamliner kits however. I got a really good deal on them and I am excited to put them together sometime. They also threw in the new Lionel catalog! I’m going to put up the Santa Fe shark set and probably a ten-wheeler or that Southern freight set. Still undecided.
Anyways here’s the stuff. I got a vista dome and a baggage car (I think).

OK! That is a blast from the past. Haven't seen those in like forever. Not superlative, not mind-bending, not hyper realistic, they are just OK! Love it. I look forward to seeing these, too.

Love those OK streamliners! I have a small fleet waiting on a "someday" rebuild. They're not the most realistic, but they make up for it with their authentic aluminum sheen.

A slot car and a Rick Ross CD. Yes I do like some rap music. Go figure.
