Hey, Eric...I have a 79 Trans Am that I've owned for 29 years. It has 4 of the Bose 1401 sets neatly installed in it. That's 16 of the pictured speakers driven by 4 Bose 100 watt amps. Sound is supplied by an Alpine Radio/CD player...
I wanted this set on eBay for the new crisp looking speaker grills, plus the two new speakers are nice to have...

Very cool! That must be a fun car to drive. We should get an automobile thread going here sometime. I know a few guys here have some cool old rides. I picked up a 78 AMC Concord a couple weeks back that I hope to get on the road in the spring....*hope* being the key word there.

Good thing Eric is that AMC cars are easy to get and keep running...

So I've heard. I have a set of original '78 AMC service manuals on there way to me and everything from high school auto is slowly coming back. The only thing I'm worried about is getting the title transferred and the car saftied/insured...Ontario has a lot of hoops to jump through.

I'd love to see this fire truck, Randy!

and, ESPECIALLY, in the train room. I remember a ham radio guy talking about how he mounted a LARGE loudspeaker against the bottom of the basement floor, then tested it by speaking into it and ask - that is -uh - telling - his wife to bring him a cup of coffee. Need I mention, she was not impressed, only slightly less impressed than my wife was with the 1982 AMC Concord Sportabout I bought on Ebay about ten years ago.

No doubt about it, those Concords are (were) nice cars!. I don't know anything about loudspeakers! I wish I still had my Concord

Actually got the speaker set in Friday's mail. These NOS 1981 speakers look like they were made yesterday! Very impressed with them!
Even had the warranty paper in the box, I wonder if they're still covered??
