both these gauges were used in argentina
Narrow gauge: 750 mm (2 ft 5 1⁄2 in) – 409 km (254 mi)
Minimum gauge: 500 mm (19 3⁄4 in) – 8 km (5 mi)

When I saw the thread, I thought it was about the streamlined narrow gauge engines that the Russians used on one of their logging lines.
