Well I'll start this one off.. Not sure tho. if this would be a AOTW, OR BOTW?????

I'm not even sure its what it "looks" to be!

To me..... at first glance, it looks to be a Rivarossi turntable..... POWERED! BUT, then this is what I got to the whole thing, nothing more.... SO, anyone with any info on this, I'd be GREATRFUL in hearing about (or reading about it in this case) on what this truly is, BUT with that Rivarossi, OR AHM motor, I thought for $2.00 it was worth the loss if nothing else!

I'm gonna GUESS, based on what I can see - it is indeed a turntable minus the base, track section and the shack or shanty that goes over the motor.

Well.. I know its a turntable.... the question is, by whom!

The motor is what caught my eye! that's an oldish AHM or Rivarossi motor, what looks to have been used in the 0-4-0's or even the 0-6-0's.......Runs pretty well too I might add. Its interesting that the gear that "powers" the movement, is a "cog system" that would catch the ties in the pit rail "ties" as the ties would be the Cog system, opposite counterpart...... Like a rack and pinion set up....

Interesting design to say the least!

Might as well throw something out while I'm here - a Hallmark Church from the "Sarah Plain and Tall" series in 1994 I think. You see this set of buildings in almost every other flea market and antique store, at least it seems so! But it's not a bad model and also happens to be HO scale

With what is left of the turntable, all that is useable is the mechanism and the railings. Yes it is a Riverossi turntable. It is a indexing turntable and does align with a specific track. It also supplies power to that track. I have one.
Rivarossi #5014.
here is what it says about the turntable. And I quote:
Instruzioni per l'installazione, l'uso La Manutenzione Della Piattaforma Girevole Automatica " Yep that says it all.

EM - believe it or not Hallmark Cards made that church . Came as part of a set of 4-5 other buildings: a couple houses, a general store, not sure what all else at the moment. Based on some kind of Christmas movie they did. Good part is that yes, they are pretty decent buildings, and the right scale - the only problem was that they all had some degree of Christmas decorations on them. So...yes I did some careful painting and a little bit of weathering to get away from the "Christmasy" look and to make them a little more realistic. That church fit the space on my layout perfectly

Jerry,
That's cool tho!!! Hallmark.. interesting to even think they were HO scale!

Frank, that's a NICE one you have there.........any degree on use of it? Looks as tho only a fraction of the circle is used for tracks coming off to go to a Roundhouse! OR are my eyes deceiving me?

My BOTW:

Ezra Cooper's Garage as displayed at the Western Pennsylvania Model Rail Road Museum. Paid it a visit this past weekend. I have one of these but it is tucked away in storage.

Dig the scenes. Cops hasslin' hookers and that super detailed garage. Seein' that garage and how you can see some neat stuff through the open door even without taking the roof off brings home to me how important it is to make sure you can see the details from the outside before you [maybe semi-] permanently attach them. I put this pot bellied stove in a little freight station . . . never to be seen again . . . without taking a bunch of stuff apart. Those old cop cars and that "woody" up the street and the people. Very cool. It's amazing how many people it takes to put together some of the scenes you want to be comparable to real life.
