I'll kick off this week's BotW with a Walthers N scale station.

I picked up this Walthers kit back in April and finally got around to building it these past few weeks. Everything was hand-painted before assembly. I haven't quite finished the scene it's going in yet. The base of the station needs shimming so it's at the same height as the concrete platform that runs along the track. There will also be a number of trees going in along the rock face and possibly some picnic tables.

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to decal/weather the station. Probably at some point...

Nice looking station - I also like the way you have incorporated the longer platform by the track.

Thanks! It's always bothered me how short most platforms on station kits are. Nice ice cream shop. I love the look of those retro fast food joints.

That engine house is a classic. It looks like the one John Allen built for the Gorre and Daphetid, that was later made into a kit.

I also see the Bachmann motel with pool beside the Freezee

Nice house you have there Walt - don't thnk I've seen one of those before
I had a feeling somebody might have one of those Trans Ams for real too! I think I'll put my white Ford Crown Vic behind it.

$8 Ben? now I also hate you

Surprised no one commented on my VW Beetle with the two Blue Men

JNXT, I beLIEve the home is called "Contemporary Home", by Bachmann. I truly can't remember, I'll have to look at its box.

Had the Bandit 79 Trans Am since 1984 ! Soon be 30 years of ultimate fun and conversation. Has a very neatly installed 454 Chevy with original rebuilt 4 Speed. Bored 060 to 468 !!
Nice VW convert ! Like the old VWs and love the 23 window buses prior to 1967...

I too, have a sealed boxed Freezee.. But have opened and assembled it... Great oldie!!

walt - my old best friend had a 455 HO Trans Am back in the late 70s early 80s. Loved Pontiacs, hated Chevys! But I think a 454 might have been acceptable
Great to see someone keep a car that long - I think 18 years was the longest I ever kept one!

Barry, Ben ID'd the beetle correctly - made by Elko. I saw that thing a couple of weeks ago at a train show and although I don't know why, I had to have it! Cost all of a dollar I think. I love wacky items like that!
