I haven't been on this site in ages. I saw the store display layout featured in The 1971 catalog on eBay and had to have it. I will restore it a bit although It is 98% original and all there including the shipping box. I like this kind of Stuff and realize there is no collector value in it. I plan on running 2 trains on It.

Hi TYCO-TOWN Trains,
Long time no see.
I saw it when it was listed. It is very cool, I would love to have it myself, But I can only afford to window shop, LOL. I had forgotten all about it until you posted this.
I'm glad you got it and it will be taken care of.
I would love to see some pictures when you get it as well.
Thanks for sharing.

Yea, I seen it both times it was listed, the problem was that I had just spent 600 on some trains over the last 2 months and could not justify to my wife why I needed it. I was in the process on liquidating some things to make a run on it. I have been looking for one of those for 3 years, I even tried to contact you about the other one you had TYCO-TOWN Trains, but you never answerer your emails or pm's.

Wow, Bob, I didn't realize that Aurora was going to do HO trains! That's a neat tidbit of history there. Would love to see better (close-up) pictures of the prototypes you have pictured there. Pretty neat. Question - did Playing Mantis get some of the Aurora molds to make the Thunderjet-500 pull-back cars / slot car bodies? Were those originally Aurora bodies? Johnny Lightning sold the T-jet bodies in the mid-90's I think, I have a bunch of those. Thanks for posting your website, I've got it marked now.

Gerry, there were no molds left from Aurora. Playing Mantis 'reverse engineered' the cars. What tyco displays are you talking about , microbuss?
