He also has a couple other old aluminum streamliner sets. Man.... if I had the disposable funds....

So are his prices good? bad? Seem high to me but considering what they are, don't seem out of line to me.

It is on the high end. If the Talgo Set was in the oringinal box in like new condition, it would be a reasonable price. The Talgo Train on ebay is worth around $100.

I picked up the same set on eBay a few weeks ago for under $50.00. The paint is a little rough but the loco runs.

Hi All,

WOW! I really like this set. It really has that retro feel to it.

eaglerock109, That is a nice set you have there. The paint chips are in the right place for wheel splash.

Those display cases are very nice as well.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the likes on the Talgo set. The logo says ACF Talgo. I had to use a magnifying glass to make it out!

Funny how that works! When trains looked like that, it was futuristic.
The present is that time's future, and it doesn't much resemble their expectations.

True scsshaggy & you'd thing that today's locos would be more streamlined instead of blocky looking
But they still get over 500mpg too

So I have about half of the locomotive shell for one of those. No idea why someone sawed it off, but I'm thinking about putting a styrene end on it and slipping it on a switcher drive of some sort. Or not, but it sits in the keep pile. It was a $1 junk box find I bought just because it was wierd and I knew it was somebody's imitation Aerotrain cab.

I am lucky enough to have two Talgo sets. The first one I plan on leaving like it is, the second one I'll be sending to have painted into the Burlington Route colors.

Eaglerock 109, I see that Whirpool, the GN C430, and Queenland Rail back there, three of the hard to get TYCO's...
