I watched this eBay auction close a few times. I have wanted the Rock Island flat car for a while. I offered the seller a total of $10 for the flat car ONLY including shipping. She sold it to me!! Probably paid too much but got what I wanted...

Walt, I do not consider $10 for a car that wanted to be too much. Even $15 sounds reasonable for one that you want.

That is a nice car.

I agree RBT, I don't mind spending a little to get what I want. Last week I paid $42 plus S&H for a Tyco piece, that's what makes me question my sanity !

Is that a Marx or Revell RI flat? Seems to me not many makers made the Rock Island flats, and those that did were the off-brand makers generally. I think I have a Revell or Marx like that.

Which one do you have lvrr325? Pipes or the culvert type pipes? I'd like to buy it ...
