My submission for SotW this week is Tyco's Burlington streamliner.
I pieced this together a couple years back and cleaned everything up last spring. I wouldn't mind finding a B-unit and better example of the A. This will do for now.

It's also interesting to note that Tyco made two different variations of the roadname font.

I believe the earlier cars (top) had the more blocky font, while the later cars (bottom) had the bubbly, stylized font. The set in the above pictures is the later version, but I also have two examples of the earlier style.

Thanks Walt!
Ben, the A-unit looks good, but it's not perfect. As you say, it's missing the nose decal, and it's also had a few of the ladders repaired. The ladder that's in focus is one of the originals!

Ben, I'm not sure the CB&Q ever used F7s for passenger service. In any case the E units had a different front nose paint scheme then the F units. Tyco just used a little modeling license on this unit.

Kenneth, I agree my point was they were not used in passenger service and the E units had a different paint scheme. I'm not sure they were not used for passenger engines, but I have found no evidence to show they were.
CB&Q used a lot of E units

Just to cloud the issue even more, that prototype Burlington F7 Ken posted has a passenger pilot, which may not necessarily mean it was used in passenger service!

Now that I see that real Burlington unit, I see the second font Tyco used was the same font Burlington actually used! Pretty cool regardless of whether or not prototypical.

A retraction and some more clarification on CB&Q Passenger F units.
All of the F3As were delivered with passenger pilots, but not all of them were used in passenger service. I was wrong about no passenger F units. The Burlington did have some F3s that were equipped with steam generators and Passenger gearing.
The following quote is from here: http://www.burlingtonroute.com/docs/rosters/droster_f3.html
A third batch of Phase II F3's, also A/B/A sets, was purchased at the same time, but these were intended for passenger service on the new California Zephyr. Numbered 9960-9962, they were delivered in the passenger paint scheme of silver (aluminum paint) with black striping and lettering. They were the only F-units on the system with steam generators (in both the A- and B-units) and were the only ones lacking dynamic brakes. After they were bumped from the Zephyr in the early Fifties, they were regeared for freight service in 1955 and eventually repainted in the freight scheme. They kept their passenger numbers to the end, however.

The FTs and F7s were all delivered with freight gearing in the white freight paint scheme. I found this on the internet so it must be true.(' ')
