My car of the week is an AHM C&O caboose that started out on Christmas morning 1968(?).

C&O probably didn't - never seen a pic of one just like that - but that never stopped AHM
Nice Army flat, would go good with the Navy one

I'm still looking for the Union Pacific Derrick, I thought I had one until Busss did not want to break up his set. No sweat, I will get one sooner or later.

Cool. I have a flat car with a hook stuck in the middle of the deck. I always wondered why. Now I see it's a crane car with the crane and sides missing - and the hook was to hold down the end of the (missing) crane. I love this forum - you learn something new all the time!!!

| Nice models, guys--wish I wasn't at work right now--maybe later I'll add my Varney flat with 3 original tractors--and to the loco list, I'll throw in my T-1 also...

Cool cars all, here's mine... Athearn SP 62' tank car

It looks factory painted but it's not listed in the Athearn trains guide. So go figure.

That "DF" doesn't make any sense on a tank, does it?

Really didn't know what DF stood for?

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

30 seconds of Googling later...
Looks like "DF" meant "Damage-Free"
I guess it was a type of advertising, similar to the "Hydra-cushion" and "Shock Control" efforts.
