I couldn't log in with my user name and password, so I had to register again. Since yahoo wants to take over my computer experience, I decided to use their mail program to create a new Email address.
My user name comes from my nickname on the S scale Yahoo group, and refers to my well-known aversion to DCC control. Other than someone glowing in pride at how slow their DCC-equipped locomotive can creep, I've never seen DCC perform as advertised.
Since I'm NOT averse to making my opinions known on this, someone labeled me String boB, putting forth the misinformation that I pull my trains with string. Someone else, no doubt a DCC advocate, couldn't spell my name and called me boB. I liked it, and with a little creative editing, putting quotes around the S, I had a new name. Someone called the error to my mind, but I told them it was too late, I like it and would continue to use it. Trouble is, people are begining to respect me again. That's not healthy to an old curmudgeon like me.

You can find my postings under RBNicholson, the name I use when I'm using my desktop computer, and under "S"tring boB on my laptop. Tyco forums won't let me log in under the former, so I had to create this identity so I could re-register with a Yahoo Email account and get the forum to accept it.
Such is life when people can't spell "boB". Wait 'til you see the avatar I'm working on
