I was able to round up a tender shell for the 2-6-0 Mogul. Unfortunately no original trucks. But, I do have a question. It regards all the different holes that are seemingly "factory-drilled" into this shell. I know what a few of them are from the instructions that are on www.hoseeker.net, but with the variations over the years . . . so I've got this photo with arrows going to the holes that I'm unsure of . . .

From the left, the first arrow on the left points to a pin which I'm unsure of the function. Next to the pin, the second arrow points to a threaded hole. Then, the third arrow points to the largest hole which goes all the way through that part of the tender.
Thank you much. Barry

| Hey thanks Ken. I kinda figured you'd have an answer. So . . . that tab of thin brass that runs perpendicular to the pin; does that brass tab serve to facilitate electrical contact? And the brass tab is itself fastened in place with a screw? Those are Sean's pieces and photos on Flicker. Nice collection and photos. Let me ask you Ken, do you operate your brass engines? Thanks again for the good photos and information. Barry

hi barry, the small pin you mention is to keep that brass 7003 from moving,i only have a small section of test track, about 6ft long, still lining attic out, after having new roof, but will, ken ps,if you want to leave permantly coupled to tender with the pin and brass 7003,you could run wire through hole and wire to trucks pps,-if you are sticking to original couplings you will need this piece, you lucky blighter getting that tender, eluding me here

| Hey Ken, I'll have to take the floor off and see what that pin does when it's out of sight, but . . . whereas your brass strip seems to be mounted "out of sight", it looks like the brass strip on the tender I got will be exposed unless covered by a load of coal?
