I have a box load of track that I will not be using on my layout. A lot of old atlas brass track, all shapes and sizes and some Tyco track still in the box. I just finished my layout and all of this is left over. Sell at a good price or gladly trade for some rolling stock. Let me know if you want to see photos.

I assume that it's all code 100?

If code 100, you got any 22" radius curves or 12 1/2 degree crossings?

I am involved with the Ohio Valley Lines model railroad club in Pittsburgh. We have a program called "Trains for Tots". We give away about 100 train sets per year around Christmas time. A lot of what we give away is HO gauge equipment that is either donated or purchased cheaply. Everything that we get is re-conditioned into good shape and then placed into 'train-set' type boxes.
Each set includes a power pack, oval of track, locomotive, 4 cars, caboose and an instruction sheet.
If you have any thing track wise that you would like to donate we would be glad to get it; or anything HO gauge wise for the kids. You can check out the program by going to the club's website.

That will be great Ray. The last I spoke with the "ramrod" of the kid's project; we already had about 80 sets ready for this Christmas. I still have about 75 locomotives to get through so we likely will be over 100 sets this year.

We can use everything you do not need. That's how the program got started. We were talking about all of the "stuff" that every model railroader collects; parts etc. We then talked about how if a group of guys all put their cast off stuff together, we could make up sets for underprivileged kids. In 2010, the first year, as I recall we gave away 75 sets. Then the word about our program started to spread. People were coming out of the woodwork; donating all kinds of stuff. Last year we gave away 100 sets. If you get a chance to look at the club's website, there are pictures of the kids receiving the train sets. You should see the smiles.
Of course there is a lot of money spent out of our pockets too; here and there but we really get a big bang for our bucks. There is also a lot of work done repairing locomotives (my job) and fixing cars and cleaning track etc. (we use about 12 Brite-boys a year) But we figure that this may be a good way to make new model railroaders. A lot of families cannot afford a $100 train set.
