I just got myself a new toy off the bay.

As you can see, it's the first half of Tyco's Turbo Express train, and for $4.51 what a deal (i almost feel sorry for the seller). Anyway, the transformers that I have hooked up to my tracks right now, crank out 13 volts. Is this enough or should I get a new transformer?

[Yeah!] [}:)] Cool buy! I think all you need is the UP "gondola" and the "caboose". But for $5 who's gonna complain? The last complete one I saw went for $30 (but it was almost MIB).

I know what you mean about feeling sorry for sellers. Like that green CP box you alerted - amazingly, I had to proxy that one and still got it for all of 99 cents! If the poor guy only knew what I proxied...

I figure that's just karmic paybak for the times I did get a little singed, so any seller who's been on there for a while probably understands that.

Maybe I should send him a Christmas card this year? lol.

Ya, looking at the pics on the resource, all thats missing is the UP and the caboose. Ever since I saw pics of the turbo trains I wanted one, but I never really payed too much attention to the freight one. This thing looks great. The seller hadn't tested it, but I'm sure I'll be able to get it running...eventually. Just imagine the look on the guys face if I brought this to the hobby shop and said I needed some parts[:D]. lmao.

I can beat you all...I did a BIN eBay auction for 99-cents about a month ago and bought a complete set of this Turbo Train...the Santa Fe Loco and Caboose, BN Box, UP Gondola, and Texaco Tank...yes all for a dollar!!!

I've done pics and they'll soon be up on the TYCO Resource on the Turbo Trains page. Cetainly a killer eBay deal!

99cents?[B)] Ok so u got a REALLY good deal...but that doesn't mean I got a bad one[:D]. It's like the saying "just because you're smart, it doesn't mean I'm stupid". LOL. Now is 13volts enough to run this, or should I go buy a slot car transformer?
