Guys,
In another posting this is what I was talking about....Its not completed as I forgot about the other section getting destroyed a few years ago...(I found some parts of it and got a rude reminder of it!)

Its 5 sections of the Revell 2 stall engine house, from I think it had it cast in the plastic under the office walkway, Revell 1956! I put all 5 of them, end to end....the 3 unmatching sections are the replacements of the broken one section, I had built. See, this was stored in 2 sections as its rather long! Then, once on the layout would be butted together 2 sections on one end, 3 of the other. WELL because I have to partially rebuild it, I'm going to also redesign it at the same time! The original machine shop I had planned, grew into a complete other building, AND in size! Then, was relocated on the building!

In this picture:

You see the "Cab Shop" this "Cab Shop" section, was the original longer sections of the main buildings that had gotten broken in our move! It was the 3rd section and the last section of the engine house!! NOTICE, its shorter! I have now got 3 complete buildings, that AREN'T of the engine house itself, BUT the same type of building to have matching bricks to match the rest of the building! Which is what I was trying to achieve here.

Overall its longer then a yard stick!

And if I would build it with the original parts left from the damages that I got.... it be even longer! Damn near 4 feet!

Then you have the machine shop:

This was re-created from the damages as well! As where you see the "Cab Shop" positioned, is where the last half of the machine shop, was.....The Machine Shop was basically 3 Pickle Factory/Machine shops, stacked together, one lower section to come off the main engine house building, and then 2 stacked on top of one another to make a second floor to have 2nd floor offices on the machine shop personel to report too with daily chores. (YES, it WILL and does have a full interior!)

HOWEVER the newest addition to the machine shop, is well, a Gruesome Casket Co, building from TYCO! I have 2 of them, one is going to remain a woodworking shop, with interior, and the other, you see here as a Machine Shop to give the "angle" to the building to create the "open" Overhead Crane Yard between the Main Enginehouse, and the Machine Shop.

The little side building, original to the Revell model, is going to be an office, and I have to find it, I have one or 2 more of them, thats going to be joined end to end, to be a longer side buiding to be a housing for the compressors to run inside the engine house!

This end:

May have one doorway to lead out into the yard behind the Enginehouse, OR It may be 100% closed up and only have a "man-Door" this is unsure of its fate and how I'm going to handle that as I plan to have this a working part of my Engine Facility on the layout.....This whole "Complex" seen here, is/will be just slightly to the side, and behind the Roundhouse, comming off the Turntable!

That would be this end thats the "Entrance" to the Engine House which would be facing the Roundhouse and Turntable:

This building was created to the length it is, for one reason..........ANYONE know why?

ENJOY!

Blane, its got a ways to go! You can see some of my work in the "finished" ends... Then with the newest section to replace the damaged one, has to be "matched" up to the remaining from the older sections.....

You modeling big loco's from your last posting.....WELL, I'm gonna tell ya, YOUR NOT ALONE!
