The world of Gorden Varney tank cars. Not Life Like cars. I have 23 different ones of these and will post photos here of them. They were a lot of different road names. Some of these names were released in different road numbers. There were 2 different cars. One riveted and one welded. Some cars I have found were released in both types. I hope you like them. frank

In here with all my Varney Single dome tank cars is a special one I got yesterday at the Wayne train show. I did list it with the other stuff, but after removing it from the stand and throwing away what was left of the broken old trucks. Gordon Varney made these for Train modelers who wanted a train display in their office area or work bench. I got this from a dealer I know along with everything else I got yesterday. Frank
The Varney Tank Car display. It has the Varney name, The city Varney trains were made in, and even the part number for it on the bottom of the track display stand.

Erich thank you. I never knew that anything like that existed. I got lucky.
Here is Varney's standard BECCO tank car. On the display model all the red lettering has almost entirely faded away. Frank

But the display model has the "dome platform" and ladders! Why not swap the tank?

I was thinking of exactly that Erick. I have a better painted one that hasn't faded yet. Just got to remember to do it. I have already changed mine. I didn't like the way Varney screwed the whole thing together. It was too tight and destroyed the trucks. I use 4 wheel stops and the car is held in place, but can still come off to inspect it. Train people always want to hold a train, and get a better look at it. No use having something on a table top no one can enjoy except from a distance. frank
