Hey guys:
I'm pretty sure this is a mislabelled RS-11 (Seller thinks AHM RS-2). Anybody know who made it? I don't think AHM made an RS-11.

That appears to be the Yugoslovian-made RS-11 first sold at the very very end of the Varney line and then was part of Life-Like's line through about 1975. It turns up again with Model Power and that is my guess for the who's RS-11 this CP Rail model belongs to...Model Power.

Interesting "SWAG*" Tony.
Why pray do you think that? Sure as heck those black plastic railings tend to make me agree with you but the photo is lousy. Pretty certain it's an RS-11 though.

yeah, RS-1's, 2's, 3's, & RS-4's all had low hoods. Ah, where's the matching caboose? This RS-11 also came in R.I.'s blues "The Rock" paint scheme with a matching caboose. Plus, some came with a dummy RS-11, dual loco' set.
I bought a set, way back when. It's kinda funny, about the Rock Island... the colors it displayed mirrored the financial condition that it was in. Sorry, I got off track.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

hey Zebrails:
the RS-4 would have to be a RSD-4/5 there was no Alco RS-4. Maybe you're thinking of a S-4?

[Oops!] [:0] uh, yeah... and mainly it proves a point... some RSD 4/5's had steam generators in the hi-short hoods (hammer-heads, i.e. CNW) and had three axle trucks. Plus, there was only an unusual version of an S-1 built by Model Power (uh, I might be wrong...) but for some reason I keep having visions of an N scale model.
 [|)] I know... I'm thinking of the S-13's of the CN. CP had S-10's, S-11's, besides the S-1's, 2's, 3's... RS-2's, 3's, 10's, RS-11's (in the red/grey scheme), RS-23's...RSD-17 @2400hp... got off track, again.
Oh, by the way, some of these units had 8 wheels powered. They were somewhat pretty good runners.
Pardon my RS-4.
