The former TYCO tooling for the RF-16 Shark Nose A-unit is among the possessions of IHC Hobby and I mentioned that I was told a new run was a possibility maybe most of a year back.

Well, I talked with my friend at IHC today and he said the Shark Nose project made it to pre-production shells, but is stalled at the moment with a manufacturing issue. He is still hopeful that they will surface sometime in the future and I was told IHC would not bother to keep the offerings to prototype owners only. So, when they do arrive we'll see some exciting what-if examples of the Shark!

Can't Wait! Hope the project gets rolling in high gear soon.

Hey Tony:
what motor do you think they'll use. My E-R D&H Sharks will be hard to beat!

BTW; on the Athearn Hustler front. There is no page I can find to about the Hustler and variations. I'd sure like to set one up in the Tyco/AHM resource page format. I know there's a book on Athearn's and I'm going to buy it but the page could have so much more detail...[:D] [:D] [:D] AND variations...

Cheers,
Gareth

Tony,
How typical! I am on the finishing stage of my A-B-A set from Model Power! About the time the paint dries, IHC will have theirs out. Any idea what the "manufacturing issue" might be? Can you ask your contact where the loco would be made? Chances are good that it will use the Mabuchi 3 pole can motor. That seems to be the standard motor for IHC at this time. Its a good motor, so I wouldn't plan on replacing it. I wonder if I can get an A-B-A set in SP Black Widow?
