I haven't seen this website mentioned on the forumn, so maybe not too many of you are aware of it: for anyone interested in the train pages from Christmas catalogs of the past, check out WishbookWeb.com (www.wishbookweb.com). Of particular interest are the JCPenny and Sears catalogs from the 1970s, where Tyco dominiated the HO scale offerings. Check out the Penny 1976 catalog, with 10 sets spread across four color pages!
I'm hoping they eventually have all Penny and Sears catalogs for 1970-1980 on there. Along with the train section in the local department stores and Kay-Bee Toys, these catalogs are where I did a lot of my drooling (figuratively speaking, of course).

cool link-brought back a flood of memories looking at those 70's Sears and Pennys catalogs. My mom got both every september in the mail and i could not wait. Flipped right to the trains and made my list. I wore those pages out.Edited by - Brianstyco on February 05 2007 10:49:30 PM
