I one day wanna build John's CD Grant and Ruptured duck for fun. I also wanna build other rail vehicles and novelty fun stuff. I'm looking at these 2 units for power from Bachmann. One is a cable car drive and the other a PCC trolley unit. Do they pick up current them selves or is a accompanying truck is needed?
Here they are:

I know that the cable car drive picks up current by itself. I'm not sure about the trolley unit - I seem to recall the unpowered truck picks up current for that one.

I'm sure all trolley wheels pick up current. The old pancake motored ones did, so they wouldn't redesign the whole thing just to hobble it with 4 wheel pickup.
