Perhaps some of you will recall the old Tyco slotcar set I posted about last year (a $4 thrift store find). Today I was back in that same store and I found yet another HO scale slotcar set!

Today's find was a glow-in-the-dark Life-Like set, probably from the 90's. It was all tossed in a big, clear plastic bag and labelled "Model Trains - $7.00". I guess someone can't tell the difference between trains and cars Either way, for $7 I'll take it.

Nice haul! Even had two slot cars, er, trains with it? That's a deal no matter what they call it!

Is it Life-Like? I remember the terminal track from my friend's big Tyco set. Maybe they ended up with the track tooling?

You are correct NP. The terminal track is a Tyco...I had a loop of Tyco set up and was using it to test the cars

Nice find. Rarely do I find slot cars.

Slot cars are more of my passion. I've been slowly learning trains. Couldn't tell you the difference between Gp20 or most others. Sad, I know.

I've been finding many trains. Most of the time for $20 with more than 10 cars and 2 or more engines.

That's the opposite of me Jeepman. I almost never see trains, and when I do they're junk.

Thanks, Blaneo

Mike, I'm not sure if I found the right autoworld. I'm not really in the market for a real car . No new guitar purchases lately...I've just been playing what I have. How about you?

Save some cash guys if you want to try an Auto World car go to Hobby Lobby. Be sure to print off a 40% coupon from their site prior to going and pay 1980's slot car prices. $12-$16

If you own a smart phone, it'll pull it up and still counts.
