Just picked this up today for under $30
And thought I would share it:

It's a Mantua 0-4-0 Booster that was converted into a 4-4-0 Cab Forward.

I think it was a pretty good deal and I will add it to my collection of them.

This one I plan to rework the rear deck (originally the front pilot deck). I plan to remove the replacement steps and add more of a platform type deck that would exist between the loco and tender. On this one, it looks to me like the builder forgot about the oil tender.

That may be the lead truck from the 4-6-0 variant of the Bachmann USRA 0-6-0. That was a short lived piece in the late '70s.

It is a Kemtron lead truck. They sold it as a kit that was produced & marketed in conjunction with their brass brass cab-forward cab front piece. It dates from ~1960's.

Here is another view of the cab forward piece and you can see they have the trucks as well:

The upper Varney engine I have wired for directional lighting. Just never finished it.

pretty neat concept...except HOW do you get the coal into the onboard coal bin with the entire face of a cab on the rear?! Not trying to be a killjoy, I do love the uniqueness of it, but without some further "engine nearing", I don't think it'd get far past the planning stage. Cool buggers! I'm already thinking up a diesel concept similar to this, but with Hustlers.

Jerry... They are OIL burners... No Killjoy here...

Those three short vandi tenders are easily converted into oil tenders and actually look great when used behind one of these:

Here is another one I have with the MDC oil tender:
