Starting out today's post, keeping it between the rails, I present a Lionel HO centercab, just acquired from the Timonium train show last weekend. I have a few of the Husky diesels, but this is my first Lionel HO centercab I've found. They must be rarer than the Husky diesels. Anyway, $25 at the table, much cheaper than Ebay prices I've seen for these, so it definitely was coming home with me. Even has the normally missing Lionel ID plate on the bottom hiding the motor. Sweet!

You can see where the ERIE 0545 is missing. Does it have the geared drive.

Yes, it does, Toptrain.

Guess I can rename it whatever I want now.

Jerry You definitely got a keeper there. It is nice and clean underneath. Only 1 animal hair and some old lube. A real good buy. A name is your to figure out. Goodluck. frank

A old factory kitbashing repowed locomotive. A Lee Town conversion from a Chattanoga 0-8-0 tender drive to a CNJ 0-8-0. With the addition of new domes ,pilot, cab, Inlarged firebox, backheaad, smoke stack. and a clear vision tender it matches its prototype. frank

Sean, I just one D-2 like yours! Does it seem to have good tractive effort?

This one is not bad considering it's size. Obviously it is not going to pull more than a couple cars. The lighter the better.

My LOTW this week is a Life-Like CNR, just like a CPR I picked up a month ago at my favourite LHS...
Runs great, just needs some TLC...

My re-detailed AHM 0-6-0T. I decided I was gonna do some work on this rather than use it for parts. Luck has it, when I get started, I buy a stunt double for parts! The compressor is off a Mantua Classics 0-6-0T. Whistle, bell and grab iron is from Cal Scale and the ladder from either a Tyco or AHM caboose. Runs fairly well. Kadee #5 out back, Kadee #158 up front.

My LOTW is a Jouef Pacific loco I picked up at a swap meet at a small model railroad club in Adelaide, South Australia last week. A beautiful detailed loco and looks like brand new. Got it for 10 bucks because it didn't have a motor. If the motors are not available, may have to fit something else .These are a tender driven unit. Anyway I am happy with it and will have a go retrofitting it. I am also noticing that its getting very hard to find Tyco stuff at local shows and those that are there are top dollar.

N scale this week, a circa 1970 Atlas/Rivarossi 0-4-0...one of the first steam switchers offered that comes with the original Kadde conversion kit for the time. I don't believe N scale would be where it is if Kadee hadn't taken this step in making retrofit kits for the steam models available at the time...

SWEET set up Shay! I got 2, one in the works and another practically mint with the unused decals and box. Paid $20 I think on it.

| They are huge Microbusss but if you look at original fullscale photos on a jouef site of the loco they were big. Also this tender is very heavy, with a large weight inside I suppose to give it traction and plenty of room for motor.

Varney Super Mikado. 1949 and earlier.....has the SP-looking boiler. Changed it after 49. Fully sprung, lead and trail, all drivers, plus has 6-wheel Central Valley sprung tender trucks. Cleaned the concreted grease out of it, runs nice. Next one up on the restoration docket after the Old Lady 2-8-0 goes back together. Maybe tomorrow I'll dig all my Mantua Version 2 Mikados out for a photo shoot. Dave
