Does anyone know of a source for bulk tyco freight car trucks? I have around 40 cars or so with out trucks. I need some trucks and the LHS has them for $10 per pair and that is a bit high, anyone know where to buy them in bulk?

Maybe this is a opportunity to use better trucks and body mounted knuckles or horn hook couplers. I have done several and fairly easy. I use Kadee draft gear boxs and Athearn, Kadee or Walther trucks. Just gotta use a 2-56 screw, nut and washer.

PS: Life Like truck's work fairly well. I think Walther's still has them.

Hey Justin,

I have about 15 or more I will be listing on eBay here soon. They are all new and not used vintage old stock with the loop couplers. They are in their original paper envelopes and all but three are sealed.

I'll be starting the lot off at $9.99 I think.

Redneck Justin-- How would you go about changing over? For some of my favorite ones that would be a definite plus, as I could use them with some newer locomotives. I know you would need a coupler box but would you just screw the new truck into the frame where the old truck used to go or how would you attach the trucks? Horn hooks or Kadees are fine as I have both.

I just part out junkers. Although, if I had Tyco that took screws, I would just use Athearn which don't seem to be too hard to find, and Kadee #5 couplers with the boxes. Everyone has extra of those boxes.
