I was getting a load of scrap the other day and I got this shovel. I thought of it as junk until I saw the handle and engraved in it is #3 PRR. I took this down to a son of a retired PRR engineer(now passed on)who has some PRR things and he indeed did say it is a PRR shovel. It's not perfect and was used on sat by me to unload a truckload of stone before I realized what it was.

Nice find, RB. It's a good thing you looked closely. I wonder what loco it fired.

Going to do more research,Im gonna take it over to the railroad museum of pa in strasburg and have the older fellas look at it. Most of there collection is PRR.
