Starting off this week's show, I'll make it short and sweet... I went to a train show in Upper Marlboro Saturday, found this one in the junk box for $1, and said Hmm, that'll go with the Oscar and Piker pair I have. Car is not finished yet, but has a good start on it. I like it.
Jerry

Here it is next to the old kit Piker I got built at a show a few years ago. Wish I could find the nicer plastic Oscar/Piker cars, but those are selling very high on Ebay, and just plain impossible so far to find at shows. Very sought-after, I guess. Oh well.

My recent train purchase was an O gauge car. A Lionel Allis-Chalmers condenser car.

| I'm not sure I've ever seen that Canadian Club car. If I have it's been a long time, because it would stick out for being wierd.

Here's the real A-C condenser car that Lionel made in O gauge. Too bad Lionel did not make one in HO.

My Car of the Week is a custom 40 foot flatcar. I want to run containers on my layout but the very tight turns mean I need short cars. I think Bachmann makes a 40 footer but I decided to cut this Tyco 50 foot flatcar down to a 40 foot instead. I'd never really tried anything like that but it seemed like an interesting project for a snowy day. I'm not totally done yet but pretty happy with how it turned out so far.

Camden, I like the way that container car came out so far. It's well proportioned, and I dont' see where you cut the car down, so ya did a good job so far.
My car of the week is this unknown roadname caboose:
I have no idea what the intitials stand for, I doubt it's a real roadname. If anyone knows what road name this is, or at least what it's based off of, that'd be nice.
If I remember right this is an Athearn bb caboose, and I got it for its roadname ('cause I've never seen it before) and because I have a thing for Athearn cabooses. Unlike some of the other victims donors, this one will be the basis for an overhaul some weekend in the future. I think I'll try to repaint the railings for cleaner paint lines.
Am I the only one with too many cabooses?

Somebody's home paint job. Paint is Testor's green enamel.
I have a bunch of custom stuff lettered "New York & Western" I've been parting out for other stuff here.

| To Microbuss - your caboose is an MDC product. Perhaps the parts might be available through Athearn. If I remember correctly Athearn ladders would fit and you can use just about any plastic roofwalk with a little creative bashing,
