I see CA referred to in a number of posts where something is being glued. I can't find a decent glue anymore (seems all the solvents have changed to something non volatile) that actually bonds plastic or metal. All the glues I can find form a layer over the plastic but do not slightly melt it to form a weld-like bond. So what you end up with is a blob of glue to hold something together instead of a relatively unnotiable glue job. They are even more worthless on metal. So what is CA? Sounds like a good old fashioned solvent based glue.

My super glue of choice is "Loc-tite Professional Strength". It is about $5 at Lowe's.

The glue I've refered to a lot is ZAP CA. I use it on everything, it holds wheels to axles, puts kits together, heck it will even glue your fingers together!! It only costs like $7 and it's entirely worth it! It sets up rather fast so be sure to know before hand what you want to stick together and with ZAP applied it won't ever come off easy..It glues metal to metal, plastic to plastic, wood to metal, wood to plastic and vice versa. Point is, this stuff can do it all!

CA or Cyanoacrylate (sp?) or commonly known as Zap (or other brand names) is the go to glues for bonding just about any thing you can think of....most compounds will set really quickly so you kinda need to know a head of time what your going to glue to where...

I've been using Gorilla brand of CA glue. The best part of it is that it will not clog up if stored upright with the lid in place.

Zap is the best. I store the bottles upright in a plastic quart soup container with a paper towel keeping them from tipping. I use the optional narrow nozzle with a push pin in the tip, and make sure it's clear of all glue before storage. An open bottle lasts about a year this way before it starts thickening a little, which hardly matters because thin Zap will become the consistency of normal Loctite.
