I'm getting a lot of junk for $8 on another forum. The 2 old-time coaches on the bottom that are yellow and brown have me intrigued! I know they can't be from Tyco or Mantua. Just click on the link. The 2 coaches in question are on the middle between the reefer and the all-black Athearn coach. The stack of the metal parts on the far right in the picture, what are they? Look like MDC/Roundhouse'ish to me:

" Heck with counting 'em rivets, TRAINS ARE FOR FUN! Not called the Mad Scientist for nothing either!"

** Those coaches are plastic kits made in the 1960's . They came with a old time 4-4-0, the General. There was also a freight set. With the same locomotive, flat car a box car and a caboose. I have posted photos of the freight set here in its box. And there are other photos here of those passenger cars. edit : here is a photo of the freight set box.
