Bag from table near front of the building $7. Inside, Athearn 0-6-0, plus pieces of a Tyco B&O Pacific - engine shell and chassis, cab, pilot, a tender truck, no motor.
Table next to mine, dollar box. Tyco Mikado missing cab, pilot, some other pieces. Tender for same.
10 minutes work later I had a complete Mike, with one blue tender truck, a blue trailing truck, cab and pilot. Total invested $9.
And the Athearn 0-6-0 is the first one I've come by that the gear wasn't cracked on it.
Later, I buy an Atlas C425 that had taken a header and was missing a sideframe for $15. I combine it with one I have missing the handrails and some other pieces to make one complete nice one. I put the rest together and mark it $20, as-is, for parts.
I sold it for the $20....
So as the day wears on I walk around and I buy a Penn Line Pennsy long-haul tender with the fully functional buckeye trucks for $5. I put it out for the heck of it marked $25 so it will get packed in my stuff for the next show.
It's not out 5 minutes before a guy buys it.

* It sounds like you covered the cost of your table with the tender. I like getting tables most for the getting in early and seeing all that is there before sales are made. You can get good stuff early. frank

YEP! I always goes the a hour before and wait. I got some awesome early bird deals. Last year, I got a Tyco Ten wheeler and a P2K y3b mallet for $80 as a package deal and a brass Ken Kidder 0-4-0 Plantation for $15!

No, that's the best part. It was like 1:30 in the afternoon when I found that tender. The Atlas C425 had been out for a while, too. In fact, the two Lionel HO cars were a late in the day grab also. I did make a spin early before the show opened and got a bunch of other stuff, but some of these things are just crazy.
On the C425, I think it sold mostly because I put a cheap price right on it, the guy I got it from I had to ask, a lot of people don't like that so I try to mark everything.

| I always do. If I'm not buying bargains at the show I dig them up elsewhere. In fact, I went so far as to make trays to sit on the table so that between those and the crates I can be about 80% set up in about 10 minutes.
