I know it sounds silly-and it looks silly. But going around the track it is silly and makes the kids laugh. This one 2-8-0 chattanooga the tenderdrive wobbles. I took it apart and the axles and wheels are fine or shall I say look fine, traction tires look fine. It doesnt do it as bad if no cars are behind it but if I put a car on???? go figure. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I dont run it too much because of this reason. I was gonna swap out the entire tender drive for a spare I got but thought id try here first. Thanks in advance.

Make sure everything is snug and level. If there is a chunk of the tire missing or isn't seating all the way, it'll wobble.

Hold the tender upside down and put the transformer leads to the wheels and watch it run.
You might be able to spot the problem.

What's wobbling, the loco or the tender? If it's the loco, then at least one plastic driver center isn't true. If it's the tender, it's likely the traction tires. The Calumet replacements I bought aren't as good as the originals... they're uneven and cause a lot of wobble.
