Our condolences to Nelson and his Family on the loss of Judy.
Sort of an LOTW Rewind with this Golden Eagle Alco Super 630 sent by a friend years ago. I bent the side handrails. I thought the CR hoppers matched the GE blue nicely. You don't typically see these with handrails much. Brianstyco knows a great deal about these engines.

My LOTW is a Mantua 0-4-0 I picked up at a Toy show a few months ago in York, PA. Some nice heavy metal here, in nice shape, nothing appears broken or missing, has the hoop and hook coupler system on it. Haven't tried to run it yet.

Nice looking loco. Caboose. Looks like a fairly straightforward conversion. How much work was involved?

nothing difficult really...installed handrails...removed 1 rear fan... added plate...removed turbo stack...added plate..filled the holes with putty where the horns used to be...moved the horns and bell...added MU plugs...to do the decal work I had to remove the glass, lenses and front number boards for the "dull cote"...just takes a lotta time...

Went to a show outside of our local area today. Totally kicking ourselves for not bringing more money because they were almost giving some stuff away. One guy had a table full of good PRR stuff that was priced to go. Like P2K E8's (both tuscan red & green) in pairs and I think it was $90 for a pair! Few others that were pretty good deals. But I picked this up. My first Bachmann diesel a H-16-44. Runs great just needs a bath, $25!

Also picked up a new in box Tyco Arlee Station for about $20. I've seen them as kits go for way cheaper. But every time I pass on them for some dumb reason I never see them again. At least it gives me a train station for my layout that I can customize from ground up so that's good. Also picked up a old Bachmann 0-6-0 drive unit & wheels (no shell). Guy said it didn't run I just wanted it for parts, bought it for a buck. Brought it home and tested it just for fun and it runs fine lol.

Chris, NICE! I got 4 of those Bachmann'sH44-16's, and one that I have needs rebuilt as it was ripped apart when I got it ($5.00) And 2 others I got for trades....I bought my first one, from Trainworld when they first came out for $19.00!
I plan to "rebuild" the one needing it with brass parts but its only work done on the radiator section so....not to bad, I have to build a "frame" to hold everything in place as thats whats wrong with it, its missing that interior frame that holds all the screen and fans.....
They are good runners for their age and era.....As mine will all be painted in some sort of B&O paint job......

My Fleichmann double ended electric. You can easily see my expert decaling. I only changed 1 coupler to allow for running either type trains. frank

A bit of a tongue in cheek LOTW entry.
Let's call it a Toys R Us F Unit. It was my son's kids meal treat last month at Wendy's. You wind it up and it goes around the little loop of track.
Interestingly, the stickers barely stick to the plastic. I noticed that on a bunch of toys my son got this year. Everything from Legos to Tonka trucks. The stickers just completely fail to stick to the toys. I have toys from when I was a kid were the stickers are not only still attached but damn near impossible to remove. These days the stickers seem to never even stick in the first place. I've really only noticed it this year.
