Ben, What road number is on that Heinz 75 Pickle car from Revell? I got one, unboxed for $5.....
The C&O car, I never knew they made those with the culvert pipes on them!
Not a bad find!

My car was really an old Mantua 4-6-2 coal tender that I made a new auxilary tender for my favorite loco, my Roundhouse 2-8-0 David Lee's Circus consolidation! Painted white to match the boiler, cover still needs to be built over the whole where the coal bunker was removed. Used a bench grinder to completely remove the bunker.
here's the before photo

All metal Ulrich hopper from my operating coal ramp. Just needs a matched pair of trucks. Interesting how it works and looks like a normal 3 bay hopper. That chalkin' marks are factory and add a nice detail!

ok here I go again
Tyco kitbash # whoknowswhat

basically cut the ends and roof and replaced it with a branchline roof and ends (you can buy them off the Atlas website) trimmed down the end ladders (could've sanded them better) and viola!
A "modern" plug door car for the Rio Grande and Colorado Western, just awaiting couplers, and some touch up work!
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader
